Admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2016, Kher Jia previously worked as a Senior Associate at Zaid Ibrahim & Co., a tier-one corporate transaction-focused law firm in Malaysia, during which she was involved in the areas of corporate commercial, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate advisory. Subsequently, she provided in-house legal support to a multinational digital technology company and a leading Southeast Asian e-commerce company. She now focuses on intellectual property, technology and data protection.
Kher Jia regularly advises clients on a wide range of matters, including information and communications technology, information security and data protection, e-payment, IT software, and e-commerce issues. Her work includes preparing and drafting technology-related contracts and policies, as well as advising clients on matters that could potentially lead to dispute resolution.
