Admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2016, Kher Jia previously worked as a Senior Associate at Zaid Ibrahim & Co., a tier-one corporate transaction-focused law firm in Malaysia, during which she was involved in the areas of corporate commercial, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate advisory. Subsequently, she provided in-house legal support to a multinational digital technology company and a leading Southeast Asian e-commerce company. She now focuses on corporate and technology.
Kher Jia regularly advises clients on a wide range of corporate matters such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, foreign direct investment, corporate advisory. Kher Jia is also experienced in drafting and reviewing a wide variety of corporate/commercial agreements which includes, among others, share sale agreement, shareholders' agreement, joint venture agreement, collaboration agreement, provision of services agreement and etc.
In addition, Kher Jia also regularly advises on IT contracts and technology-related matters, such as IT licensing arrangements, IT procurement and system supply, consumer protection in electronic transactions, electronic commerce, and data protection

Advised and drafted the transaction documents for the disposal of a majority stake in a Labuan investment bank for USD 16 million.
Advised an American multi-brand restaurant operator in the restructuring of its international group of companies.
Advised on the IPO of a local construction engineering company and retail hardware trading company and co-led the due diligence.
